E.On Offers Advice on Coping with Power Cuts

In a recent letter to the Parish Council, E.on/Central Networks listed the items the company felt householders would find useful in the event of a power cut. Although E.On does not anticipate any interruption to supply, it asks that the Parish Council pass on its advice to residents in the Parish.

The items E.On recommend everyone should have to hand, just in case of a power cut, are:

Analogue, corded telephone (digital, cordless telephones will not work during a power cut);
Torch, with spare batteries;
Wind-up mobile phone charger;
Battery-operated radio;
Foil, "space" blanket; and
Reusable hand warmer.
