is a Coventry-based poet whose collection Bachra Man was published in 2009.
His poem, which is located outside the library, explores Polesworth in its context within the Forest of Arden. It echoes the work of Michael Drayton's great work PolyOlbion, which described the nature of Britain in thirty-one songs. The thirteenth song covered Drayton's birthplace here in Warwickshire.
poem Song 13 also remembers a contemporary of Drayton, Philemon Holland, who was not only a doctor but also a translator. It is Dr Holland's translation of William Camden's Brittania that Drayton used as the basis for PolyOlbion.
You will also find the "Argument" from Drayton's thirteenth song of PolyOlbion along side poem.
