The Polesworth Society was founded in April, 1983, and membership is open to anyone interested in Polesworth, whether in the village's past or its future development. The Society meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except during December) and meetings often feature an invited speaker.
The Society is involved in a number of different activities, including: commenting on civic and planning matters; co-operating with Polesworth Parish Council in a project to create a heritage trail around Polesworth; publishing factsheets on local history and sites of interest; and publishing a village events diary and directories of local voluntary organisations and businesses.
