About Us
Situated in the centre of the village of Polesworth, not far from the A5 and M42 in rural North Warwickshire, The Tithe Barn Resource Centre provides an atmospheric and distinctive setting for almost any kind of activity. A Grade II listed building, The Tithe Barn is used for a wide variety of activities, ranging from community and business functions, to meetings, and even weddings. The building is also used for regular surgeries by local Councillors and the local MP. Owned and operated by Polesworth Parish Council, the Resource Centre is housed in a renovated 17th Century tithe barn. Opened in July, 1995, The Barn is staffed by three volunteers, including the Centre Manager, Parish Councillor Richard Meredith.
Retaining its original beamed ceilings and stone floors, The Tithe Barn contains a function room and kitchen, and provides a wide range of extra facilities. Disabled access to the building is via a ramped entrance and toilets for both the able bodied and disabled are provided. The Hall Court complex, in which the building is situated, offers ample free parking. The Tithe Barn Resource Centre has received several awards, including first prize in Warwickshire Rural Community Council's 1997 Village Ventures Competition. |
